%X The karyotypes of three species in <em>Glycyrrhiza</em> have been studied. The results showed that the numbers of the somatic chromosome were 16, and the karyotype formulae were as follows:<em>G.pallidiflara</em> k(2n)=2x=16=4M+8m+4sm; G.glabra k(2n)=2x=16=10M+6m; <em>G.inflata</em> k(2n)=2x=16=6M+6m+4sm.
